New game company

John co-founded Slipgate Ironworks, a new game company in the Bay Area in California in September 2005. They are in STEALTH MODE which means they aren't talking about their project to anyone. Even candidates that interview with John do not fully know what the game is about until they reach STAGE 3 in the interview process which is the point where an employment offer is extended along with an NDA and full disclosure of the project. Anyone rejecting the offer at this point is then killed. (j/k)

John and his co-founders (who are also secret) will invent the official name of the company in late 2007.

John Romero has confirmed a recent online announcement by PC ZONE magazine, that he and his company co-founders are currently working on a new MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online (Game)). Beyond the fact that it's funding will be "much more" that $10 million, and that it is "very different from any other MMO for some special reasons"... nothing is known.
