Stage-It

From RomeroWiki

A.K.A. James Stager (STAY-GHER), founder of Isotope Studios, a small Long Island based company hell-bent on only creating new, refreshing, out-of the ordinary games.

With initial concepts planning as early as 2000, five years later, after intense study of the gaming industry from 1970's to today, Isotope Studios was born. With a readily assembled team, the knowledge, and street smarts to escape the bear traps of publishers, every one of our team members is confident in our ability to perform.

The name "Isotope Studios" was decided on for one reason: An isotope is an atom with a different number of neutrons that it's normal form.

An isotope can change the properties of a normal substance. A radioisotope known as "Carbon-8" was responsible for many deaths in the Chernobyl incident for the first eight days.

An isotope can have entirely different properties than the “correct” form of it's atom.

Likewise, every game we produce will add much more than one break-through, totally new and refreshing, innovative factor to the genre it's based in.

And we will be sure to create all new genres as well.

Confirmed titles:

-The Best Game of All Time (Working Title)

-The Research and Development Trilogy

-Dreamcatcher (A dream exploration title that goes to every extent possible to replicate inhabiting a dream, from what events cause you to wake up to oddities and psychology)

Isotope Studios is "going gold" in the Summer of 2007 - due to high school graduation issues surrounding Myself (The brainchild of the company) and a few other vital members.

Current Facts About Isotope:

-Isotope Studios is like the id Software of the early 90's - Office pranks and destruction abound. The latter will be in effect once we get the money to buy an office.

-Our team currently has six members, one potential member, one member who must relocate (Chubz), and another possible inductee.

-Our team has a diverse range of tastes, from Sega to Nintendo to SquareSoft to id to Volition to Parallax Software to Apogee and beyond. But, we share enough in common to work. "Too many cooks spoil the broth" is a key point we like to avoid.

-Requirements for a design-oriented (non-programming) position at Isotope involve the following:

+ Knowledge, know-how, and game time experience with 8 or 16-bit hardware. This includes the NES, SNES, and primarily Genesis.

+ Knowledge of timeless DOS classics such as Doom, Descent, Duke Nukem 3D, Halloween Harry, and Terminal Velocity.

+ Knowledge of the 32/64-bit machines, including PlayStation, N64, and Saturn.

+ Knowledge of the Sega Dreamcast, this one is required no matter how good we think you are. We have machines you can loan. The Dreamcast represents everything Isotope Studios works for - low-budget, kick-ass innovation, and the rebirth of quality gaming. All of our members agree that the Dreamcast was the finest machine ever made, and was the last machine to carry over the 80's and 90's morale of "The gameplay must be better than the graphics, or equal to them."

Certain things above are omittable, and hardware is communal and open for loan.
